About Me
My first handmade pipe was created during a weekend trip, using nothing more than a cherry branch, a drill, and an old stem. The beginnings of my pipe-making journey were difficult. It took a long time to equip my workshop and gather the proper tools. I started working at home in the kitchen, then in a basement, until I eventually managed to create my own workshop.
I make pipes only in my spare time, usually late in the evening, producing just a few pipes each month. I never plan a pipe’s shape in advance. I simply take a block of briar in my hands, study the grain, sketch directly on it, and let the rest emerge during the process. All my pipes are made from Italian briar supplied by “Mimmo” Romeo, which I additionally season for a minimum of three years. The stems are made from German ebonite.
